All good, we asked ourselves the same thing. The battery can export/sell a small amount of energy during 'peak times' which allows energy companies to make extra income from the power grid, instead of from their customers.
In return, the energy company will install & maintain the backup battery equipment at no cost to the homeowner and can offer an electric rate much lower than the regular market price.
Any energy that is sold off will be replaced like it was basically never gone. Most importantly, energy will not be sold during outages (by law!) so don't worry about having a drained battery when you need it.
Nope, homeowners will just pay a less-expensive monthly bill like they are already doing. Plus, they won't have to worry about power outages anymore.
Installation costs, permitting fees, cancellation fees, etc. are all covered.
Equipment, labor, performance and/or roof penetration are warrantied for 20 years and can easily transfer to the next owner.
The equipment will also be monitored so if there is an issue, we will reach out to the homeowner and schedule a time to fix it at no cost.
Share the new homeowners contact info with us or vice versa and we can handle the rest once we have a confirmed transfer date. Plus, having a backup energy source installed is a great highlight when it comes to sell you home.
Yes! In fact, many homeowners wanted a battery when they originally installed solar but decided against it because of the additional cost, or were never offered one in the first place. This program makes it possible to add battery backup protection without the large upfront investment traditionally required.
One of the biggest advantages of adding a battery is the ability to store your energy on-site instead of exporting it back to the grid. By using more of the energy your solar system produces, many homeowners are able to maximize the value of their existing solar investment, gain backup power during outages and lower their electric bill.
If you’re needing additional solar panels, we can help evaluate options and coordinate a system that works seamlessly with your battery and electricity plan. Final compatibility depends on your existing solar equipment and the final system design.
It usually takes 30-45 days for completion based on how quick the utility and/or city permits are processed. The actual install itself takes about 1 day but sometimes 2 days if extra electrical work is needed.
Don't worry, we aren't going to pay it. We need a copy of the electric bill to determine if the home's annual electric usage and backup battery needs can be supported by our equipment.
A picture, .pdf file or screenshot that shows either 12 months of usage or the Meter ID# is required unless you recently moved-in.

Almost all Texas homeowners are eligible as long as the following criteria are met:
Homeowner Status – The property must be owned by the person applying for the program, a trust, or a qualifying LLC.
Permanent Residence – The home must be built on a permanent foundation and have an active electric service account.
Home Internet – Active internet service is required so the battery system can be monitored and managed securely.
Program Eligibility – Available battery programs vary based on your utility provider, location, existing equipment, and home configuration.
Credit Requirements – Qualification requirements vary by program. Some battery programs require a minimum credit score, while others have no credit or income requirements at all.
Availability Note: Virtual Power Plant programs are approved and deployed in specific utility areas and are limited by local grid capacity. If you're reviewing this now, there is likely still availability in your area, as we try to only reach out to homeowners where capacity is currently open.
Since there’s no upfront cost or principle amount on leased equipment, traditional ROI doesn’t apply. Instead, you benefit from lower monthly electric bills — most customers save around 20–40% annually compared to their old utility rates.
